Kyra Minturn

 Kyra Minturn, born August 19 1965 was an American actress. She is also an actor and producer. She is most famous for her character as the Deputy Chief Brenda Leigh Johnson in the TNT crime drama The Closer. Sedgwick was awarded an Emmy Award in 2010 and an Emmy Award in 2010 and a Golden Globe Award for 2007 for her portrayal Johnson. After the conclusion of the seventh season, the series was cancelled on August 13, 2012. Sedgwick is also known for her role in Brooklyn Nine-Nine, playing Madeline Wuntch. Sedgwick received the Golden Globe Award for her performance in Something to Talk About (1995). Sedgwick's films roles include Oliver Stone's Born in July (1989) and Cameron Crowe's Individuals (1992) as well as Heart and Souls-1993), Phenomenon (1996) and What's Cooking (2000) as well as Secondhand Lions (2003). The Game Plan (2007) and The Possession (2011) are also among her many. Sedgwick was born in New York City, the daughter of Patricia (nee Rosenwald), a speech teacher and educational/family therapist and Henry Dwight Sedgwick V, a venture capitalist. Her mother was Jewish and her father was Episcopalian as well as of English descent. Sedgwick has announced that she's Jewish and participates in Passover dinners.
